Here we go...

It's my first official blog post! I'm hoping to use this blog as a way to keep in better touch with friends and family, near and far. Any pro-bloggers out there, feel free to give me tips.

For my first blog, I'm thinking I'll keep it simple and blog about some things everyone likes...free stuff!

• If you stop by Starbucks today and tell them you voted, they will give you a free grande brewed coffee. This doesn't include the fancy lattes, but it's still a good deal! Funny how getting a free $2 beverage can really brighten up your day.
• Phil Wickham's newest album, Singalong is available to download for free directly from his website. All you have to do is sign up for his e-newsletter. Let me tell you, it's well worth it. I love his music!
• Christianaudio.com offers a different free Christian classic audiobook download each month. This month it's Calvin: Of Prayer and The Christian Life (by John Calvin).

In other exciting news, Wyatt's softball team scored their first victory of the season last night. I'm pretty sure it's because I was there for the first time.
Oh, and today is my dad's birthday. Happy birthday to the best dad I could ever ask for. He has taught me so much about perseverance, integrity, and faithfulness, because he has been a living example of those traits every day of his life. I love you dad!
So, this is going to be it for my first blog post. I hope you'll continue to follow our blog, because hey, even if you don't care too much about what's going on in our lives, at least you may get some free stuff out of it. :)
